THE LIAM O'CONNOR SHOW PERFORMS AT THE KILLARNEY AVENUE HOTEL FROM JUNE TO SEPTEMBER.
02 July 2010
Late Late Show viewers got a special treat last weekend when Liam O’Connor and his troupe of world-class performers opened the programme with an excerpt from his legendary live show.
The Late Late Show is the most watched weekly show on Irish television – and last Friday, Liam was given the coveted slot of opening the show.
Liam was accompanied by his sons Oisin (8) and Cillian (3) and performed the title track from his forthcoming album, ‘Tico Tico’.
Joining Liam and the boys on the show was a tap dancer and a full band. The music, a trademark Liam O’Connor fusion of traditional and contemporary styles, resulted in one of the most exciting musical performances on the show for a long time.
This is not Liam’s first time playing the Late Late Show having performed on it on four other occasions. The reaction to the performance, which can be seen on YouTube, was incredible and has whetted the appetite for the release of the album and single.
